TRANSCRIPT:
Two women with wavy red hair approach the front of a club. The pair look like they could be twins. A bouncer can be seen in guarding the door in the distance.
Narration: Some clubs would get weird about women coming in to the club without a man.
Twin 1: Happy birthday, sis!
Twin 2: Time to party!
In the next panel the bouncer confronts the twins who look unhappy.
Bouncer: Sorry ladies, you can’t go in without a male escort.
Twin 2: But our friends are already inside!
Narration: Management gives all kinds of justifications.
The next panel shows a head shot of the bouncer talking. He has a sunburn in the shape of sunglasses on his face.
Bouncer: Well…ya know…Women try to touch the dancers. They don’t tip. They’ll try to get up on the stage…
Narration: But men did all of these things too and they didn’t need a male ‘escort.’
The next panel shows the twins straining to look around the bouncer and waving at their friend who happens to be coming out of the front door of the club.
Narration: (This is a recreation based on a story from a friend, but it is a common experience.)
Friend inside (waving back): Oh! There you guys are!
Bouncer: One of your male friends will have to come out here.

Comin’ at ya with a new comic! This weeks story is from a fellow stripper! I have never waited tables myself but it seems really really difficult. I have mad respect for waitstaff. In fact when I was a stripper I took great joy in going out to eat and leaving large cash tips. It just made me feel good!
My attention’s been pulled in a lot of different directions the past few weeks! For one thing I’ve been researching self publishing which is pretty intense, but I’m having a great time ordering paper samples! I also drew out a sequence for a video I’d like to make introducing myself. This will take some time because I know jack shit about making videos, but I’m looking to pay someone to help me make it. In the mean time I’ve been chipping away at the next comic and it’s almost ready to color! I could skip color to save time but it’s probably the most fun part of the process. Thanks for sticking around!
Alright! Got a new comic for y’all and I’m excited to share it so I decided NOT to wait until Saturday (like I usually do.) I work Saturday mornings now so sometimes I don’t get to post ’till late. Hit me up on twitter and tumblr!
I’m coloring the next comic “Seesaw” this week! (The line art is already up on my patreon ). Sunday I attended the Queer Comics Expo and it was amazing to meet so many talented queer folk! I got a ton of great info out of the panel discussions as well! I really enjoyed talking with all of you and wish I could have spent $$ at every single booth.
